Actress Moon Ga Young appeared in a pictorial and interview for fashion magazine Elle’s February issue.
In the interview, she talked about her character in tvN’s ‘True Beauty,’ the environment on the set, her relation with the co-stars and more.
Talking about the environment on the set, Moon Ga Young revealed, “It is a scene full of energy. It really feels like going to school. Since I graduated from Girls’ Middle School and Girls’ High School, it’s new and unfamiliar to sit in a classroom with boys. I also feel a bigger responsibility to lead the story.”
She also revealed that it took her some time to fully understand her character in ‘True Beauty.’ “It took a while to understand Ju Gyeong. I had to be sure of what kind of message I could convey through this work and character. I don’t hesitate when I do something new,” she added.
‘True Beauty’ tells the story of 18-year-old high school student Lim Ju Gyeong (Moon Ga Young), who faces discrimination from her family and is constantly bullied by her schoolmates. With her makeup skills, she transfers herself into a ‘goddess.’ The drama also stars ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo(Lee Su Ho) and Hwang In Yeop(Han Seo Jun).
