BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s Snowdrop Poster Gets A Funny Comparison

BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo is again in the limelight, but this time it is not for any album or song. Jisoo is the talk of the town for her upcoming JTBC’s drama ‘Snowdrop.’ On November 30, Jisoo’s poster for ‘Snowdrop’ was released. This photo soon became a topic of interest in the ‘Blink’ community for certain reasons.

Many social media users think that Jisoo’s poster reminds them of the photo that YG introduced in May 2012. The both images seem to the taken from similar camera angle. At that time, Jisoo had not yet been confirmed as a member of BLACKPINK. The photo was posted by YG with the short caption, “Who’s that girl?”

Jisoo was first introduced to the public on YG’s blog in May 2012.

Emotional moment for fans as they recall Jisoo’s pre-debut photo when looking at the poster of the movie Snowdrop.

Here are some of the comments:

“Looking at the poster, I immediately think of that year’s pre-debut photo.

“9 years is a journey that is neither long nor short, but full of efforts for Jisoo. Jisoo-ah, the road ahead is still long, let’s move on together.

Still love Jisoo like the first day.”

“To get to this day is a whole process of efforts of Jisoo. Always proud of her.”

‘Snowdrop’ is set against the backdrop of the 1987 Democracy Movement, which was a mass protest movement with the purpose of forcing the then-current authoritarian government in South Korea to hold fair elections. Jisoo plays the character of Eun Young Ro, a female university student who falls in love with Soo Ho(Jung Hae In) at first sight.

Directed by Jo Hyun Tak, ‘Snowdrop’ will premiere on December 18, 2021.
